Elder Marvin K. Shaw, Pastor
Pastor Shaw
was born to Deacon Douglas and the late Elizabeth Shaw on August 13, 1953.
He remembers sitting
snuggly beside his mother at church as the preached word of God would touch his heart. At the age of 9, he
received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in the name of Jesus as instructed in Acts 2:38.
As Paul said,
he would rather that we speak also in known tongues for the edifying of the body of Christ. Well, Pastor Shaw is doing
just that. Preaching the uncompromised word of God. In this new millenium souls are still being saved just like
the bible says. Chains are being broken and men are being healed in the city of Woonsocket. Pastor Shaw was called to the ministry
in his early years, but was not in a hurry. He remained very active in his home church Beulah Heights First Pentecostal
Church of New Haven, Connecticut under the leadership of Bishop & First Lady Theodore L. Brooks, Sr.
Growing up
in a family of 8, Pastor Shaw learned patience and love for men from all walks of life. Before excepting his call into
full-time ministry, Pastor Shaw worked for 22 years for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. Praying for and ministering to
many until his instant move to Woonsocket, Rhode
Island in 2000.
Pastor Shaw
began his education in Southern New England Regional Bible College. In 1992, he received
ministerial training with Aenon Bible
College and upon completion, was licensed by the Pentecostal Assemblies
of the World, Inc. (PAW, Inc.)
Pastor Shaw
is a good person, husband, and father, and we know that God has even greater things with his name on it.
He's just like
his Father in heaven. A father to the fatherless and a friend to the friendless. He's our Pastor! We love
him and lift him up continually in prayer in Jesus' Mighty Name!
